Local Boutiques Lakeland Florida

Ekim’s Place is all about lifting small businesses in Lakeland up and above the chain stores and big box corporations! Especially now with the global pandemic still lingering and the after affects currently being felt, it is essential to support local businesses and help keep our community strong! Our mission is to re-wire your brain to think local first, instead of Kohl’s, Macy’s, or Chico’s.

If you love to shop like us, keep reading for some of the best local boutiques offering up the latest fashion pieces and the cutest accessories for all styles! The Lakeland shopping scene is open for business and ready to serve you!

Bungalow Boutique & Gifts is a sister duo who took an old Florida bungalow and set up their cute shop with loads of women’s apparel. They carry a variety of different styles for any age! From Dressy to Casual and even Athleisure, Bungalow Boutique & Gifts has something for everyone. Don’t forget the accessories! My current favorite is a purple hat with fanciful feathers wrapped around the band that just screams “I’m ready for fun!” Headbands, sunglasses, scarves and more are all waiting for you to find your style at Bungalow Boutique & Gifts!

Main and Monroe is an online store that was started by two best friends, during COVID no less! In fact, they just celebrated their 1st Anniversary last week! Because this boutique is completely online, snuggle up in your comfy pants and take a leisurely browse through their store. Main & Monroe has a variety of dresses, tops, bottoms, loungewear and more! Their goal is to make you feel beautiful and comfortable, inside and out! Now that the weather is cooling off, check out their collection of cardigans! Free Shipping on all orders over $75!

Yates and Hagan is a women’s clothing store located in Lakeside Village since the beginning and is still going strong after 14 years! Their story is one of my favorites! Established in 1907 in Missouri by the current owner’s grandfather, Yates & Hagan was initially a men’s clothing store. After a successful run that included expanding to FIVE stores, they closed the Missouri shops and relocated to Lakeland Florida. This time, though, they opened it as a Women’s clothing store, and eventually brought in gift items as well. They carry great brands including Brighton, Vera Bradley, Alex and Ani, and Hobo Handbags.

Etoile is a boutique specifically for dancers. They have a great selection of all the things a dancer would need including leotards, tights, shoes, and more! Some of the brands they carry include Bloch, Capezio, Grishko, Motionwear, and Gaynor Minden. They have also opened a boutique next door called Claypool Clothing Company to bring fashion to dancers! Find comfortable and trendy tops, shoes, skirts, and more! Accessories include their “Dapper Hats” – my favorite is the Alcott Cloche! It makes me want to put on a flowy skirt and do grand jetes through the streets! Check out both boutiques and find everything your dancer will need!

Sawdust and Rust is a faith-based and woman-owned boutique located in the plaza on Alamo and S. Florida Ave. They carry a diverse selection of women’s fashion like jeans, tops, dresses, graphic tees, and more! In addition to women’s apparel, Saw Dust & Rust also sells accessories, candles, and home décor. The owner’s mission is to build a community of people who come together and lift each other up in a multitude of ways. If you can’t visit their brick and mortar, check out their website to shop online. Bonus - if you are wanting a boost in your mood, check out her videos under The Gathering tab.

Whiskey Way is another online boutique, with a brick and mortar coming soon! Maybe you’ve seen their store front in the heart of Dixieland on S. Florida Ave? I can’t wait to check out their place, but in the meantime, check out their website! This woman-owned business was started to provide a place for girls and women to not only shop, but to build a community that is safe and fun for all ages, sizes, styles and ethnicities! Find tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, and accessories! My favorite accessory she has is the Rose Bracelet Stack – currently on sale!
